List of candidates
Applications can be submitted through online only.
Filling up of online application forms will be commencing from : 3rd August, 2015.
For applying, Candidate has to login to his/her respective dashboard with the User ID and Password being provided to him/her at the time of “One Time Registration”. The login option is available under candidate’s corner in Home Page. The candidates who have already register themselves earlier need not to do registration again but they can use their previous user id and password for login. Fresh candidates who are applying for the first time in online mode need to do onetime registration first.

If the candidate forgets his/her password, he/she can reset the same by providing User ID, Mother’s Maiden Surname, Last School Attended and Grandfather’s Name. The information provided should match exactly the candidate have given during One Time Registration.
Fees : Rs 160/- (Rupees one hundred and sixty) only + Service Charge 1% of examination fee subject to a minimum of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) for online payment through debit/credit card plus 12.36% of service charge as Govt. Duty or Service Charge of Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five) only for Net Banking or Service Charge of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty) only for payment through Bank counter (off-line payment).
S.C./S.T. candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee. BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay usual fee as aforesaid. No exemption of fee is available to SC/ST/BC Candidates of other states. No claim for refund of the fee will be entertained nor will it be held in reserve for any other examination.
For post at Item No. 1(a) to 1(c) and 1(e) to 1(l), 2(a) to 2(c) and 2(e) to 2(l), 3(a) to 3(c) and 3(e) to 3(l), 4(a) to 4(c) and 4(e) to 4(l),
Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree from a recognised University in appropriate subjects viz. Bengali, English, Philosophy, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, History, Geography & Political Science as the case may be.
For post at Item No. 1(d), 2(d), 3(d) & 4(d) Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Zoology with Botany as a subsidiary subject in the Degree Course OR A Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Botany with Zoology as a subsidiary subject in the degree course OR A Second Class Honours or Second Class Master’s Degree of a recognised University in Physiology with Botany and Zoology as subsidiary subjects in the Degree Course.
Age: Not more than 32 years on 01.01.2015 relaxable upto 37 years for specially well qualified and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment in the teaching branch of the Education Department, West Bengal.
Knowledge in Bengali – Spoken & Written [For the posts at item no. 1(a) to 1(l) & 3 (a) to 3(l)] ;
Knowledge in English – Spoken & Written [For the posts at item no. 2(a) to 2(l ) & 4(a) to 4(l)]
Desirable : Degree in Teaching/Education or its equivalent (candidates not possessing this qualification may apply but if selected will draw the initial pay of time scale on an ad-hoc basis till obtaining the same.)
- Selected Candidates may be posted in any Govt. School in West Bengal and their services are transferable.
- The posts are borne in West Bengal Subordinate Educational Service.
Those candidates who have successfully fill their application form and download their admit card from the website will be able to check the WBPSC examination result 2015 from here, when it is officially announced by the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC).
Ability to read, write and speak in bengali is an essential qualification for Recruitment to all posts and services mentioned below. Provided that the said compulsory requirement of knowledge in bengali is not applicable for nepali speaking candidates from the hill areas of the district of Darjeeling unless mentioned otherwise against any particular post(s). This will be tested at the time of interview.

PAY : P.B. – 4, Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,800/- for candidates with Master’s Degree and Rs.9,000/- – Rs.40,500/- with Grade Pay Rs.4,700/- for candidates with Honours Degree.
All the degrees/diplomas/certificates mentioned in the advertisement must have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions.
The prescribed ‘essential qualifications’ are the minimum and mere possession of the same does not entitle applicants to be called in for the interview. Where the number of applications received in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient or possible for the Commission to interview all the applicants the Commission may restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of either qualifications or experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement or on the basis of a Screening Test .
- Screening Test, if necessary, will be held at Siliguri, Malda, Burdwan, Midnapore & Kolkata Centre.
- Candidates are required to opt their choice of centre in the Application Form.
- If sufficient nos. of candidates are not available in a particular centre the candidates who opted that centre will be shifted in the nearby/convenient centre.
In cases where no Division/Class is awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marks and conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned.
Application forms, not properly filled in or incomplete in any respect would be summarily rejected. If any candidate submits more than one application against any particular post, the candidature of the said candidate will be summarily rejected.
Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate.
