UPSC CAPF 2016 Application Form
Online registration process for UPSC CAPF Exam 2016 has stated from the official website of UPSC. The Online Applications can be filled upto 08 April 2016 till 11:59 pm after which the link will be disabled.

Note : The applicants are advised to submit only single application. However, if due to any unavoidable situation, he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID is complete in all respects like applicants details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee etc. The applicants who are submitting multiple applications should note that only the application with higher RID (Registration ID) shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one RID shall not be adjusted against any other RID.
Candidates are not required to submit Hard Copy of their applications to the UPSC. UPSC CAPF Application Fee 2016
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only) either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI/ State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore /State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
UPSC CAPF Eligibility Criteria
Nationality : No person who is not a citizen of India shall, except with the consent of the Central Government signified in writing be appointed or employed under these Rules. Provided that nothing contained in these rules shall debar the appointment, enrolment or employment of a subject of Nepal or Bhutan under these Rules
Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for appointment to the post of Assistant Commandants.
Age: A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 01 August, 2016, i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 02 August, 1991 and not later than 01 August, 1996. The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxed upto five years for SC / ST, three years for OBC.
Qualification: A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree of a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or possess an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination, 2016 specified in the Notice.
Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificates : Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test only.
UPSC CAPF Examination Stages
Written Examination constitutes of two papers. Paper I is objective type and paper 2 is subjective type. There will be minimum qualifying marks separately in each Paper as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion. Paper I will be evaluated first and evaluation of Paper II will be done only of those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.
Physical Standards / Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests : Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards/ Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests Those candidates who meet the prescribed Physical Standards, specified in Notification (link given below).
Interview / Personality Test : Candidates who are declared qualified in the Medical Standards Tests, will be called for Interview / Personality Test to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks. Candidates who are short-listed for Interview / Personality Test will be issued a Detailed Application Form (DAF) in which among other things, they will be required to indicate their preference of Forces.
Final Selection: The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.
